About Eric
After finishing my training at McGill I moved to BC where I met my wife Erin and fell in love with the province's natural beauty. Our hands are now full with our energetic daughter Eva who enjoys playing outdoors, swimming, and traveling. We are also delighted that early 2020 saw the arrival of our son Torin. I have special interests in preventative health, child and adolescent medicine, and geriatrics. I believe technology can be used to help people improve their health; for example, I created MeKeeper, a free patient health record app used around the world. I founded and supervised the UBC Narrative Medicine Student Interest Group and have published stories in several countries. Through school, travel, and my patients I have learned French and Spanish and many ways to say "Thank you". For fun I like to run, swim, play basketball, cook, and garden. I am passionate about justice and equity: everyone has a right to access quality healthcare and we need to work together to create a public system that allows us to care for our patients in a safe and sustainable way.
